What better way to mark the end of the school year and the beginning of the summer than with a summer-themed craft? This is a fun way for your kids to use their essential skills and create a memorable piece that they can look back on when they're older. We have compiled some craft ideas that are easy-to-follow and will get your kids excited for the start of their summer holidays!

Now that recreation facilities are beginning to open up, it's hard not to think about all of summer afternoons you and your kids will spend at a pool! Your kids can start to imagine the underwater adventures they'll be going on when making this octopus either with popsicle sticks or strips of paper.

As we approach the longest day of the year (June 20), it's worthwhile to take advantage of the extra sunshine each day with a handmade sun-catcher. You can attach these to windows around the house and marvel at the beautiful colours!

Since this past year has been quite unique, it may be a great time to reflect with your kids on what they enjoyed, what strengths they've gained, and anything else they found interesting about this period in their lives. This will be a great keepsake for them to look at when they're adults. You can either make your own questions or use one of the printouts here.
