Announcing the Birdies for Kids 50/50 Raffle

Further Education Society of Alberta

We are excited to announce the FESA Birdies for Kids 50/50 Raffle!

The FESA Birdies for Kids 50/50 Raffle is taking place from July 20th to August 28th. The raffle will close at 12:00 PM on August 28th, and then at 12:30 we will be doing the draw!

This raffle supports the Further Education Society of Alberta and our mission of providing FREE family literacy programs! We partner with over 35 community agencies to deliver 70 to 80 programs to over 800 Calgarian families each year with programs like the Parent Child Mother Goose, Literacy and Parenting Skills, and Jumpstart/Books for Babies!

As a participating charity in the 2023 Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink program, all proceeds from the raffle will be matched up to 50% making your contribution go further! That means every dollar raised for FESA -- the 50/50 amount that will go towards FESA, will be matched up to 50%!

That's a lot of 50s and math, but 100% of the money raised will go to supporting free literacy programs in Calgary and help provide Calgary families with free books, pens, pencils, notebooks, and other essential literacy tools!

Get your tickets today at https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/fesa and help ensure youth in Calgary have all the tools they need to succeed!

Land Acknowledgement

FESA acknowledges that the land upon which we work and call home is on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney), the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 4, 5, and 6), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

We are grateful to work on the territory that situates Calgary, which is known as Mohkinstsis by the Blackfoot, Guts’ists’i by Tsuut’ina, and Wîchîspa by the Îyâxe Nakoda, as we endeavor to build a more literate and learning society allowing all to reach their potential.
