Celebrating Calgary Programs: 2024 Highlights
Each October, the Further Education Society of Alberta (FESA) holds its Annual General Meeting—a time to review finances, board activities, and overall organizational progress. This gathering is a valuable opportunity to reflect on our achievements, celebrating partnerships, and recognize the impact of our collaborative efforts.
To tell the story of Calgary Programs in 2024, we connected with learners, facilitators, program partners, and practicum students, gathering stories and accomplishments that showcase our impact across Calgary. This process allows us to curate the year’s highlights and honour the dedication and collaborative spirit that drive our mission forward.
Stay tuned for an in-depth look at Calgary Programs in our 2024 Annual Report. In the meantime, here are some highlights shared at our AGM!

The City of Calgary CSW in Manchester: It is great to have something available for the kids in the community. The kids keep coming back so they must enjoy it. I can see they are gaining communication skills and opportunities to learn various skills for life through this program.
WINS Beltline: I just wanted to thank you for today’s collaboration. The Workshop is very useful, I have received positive feedback from all participants today. The facilitator is very professional, and his cultural and emotional awareness and ethics impressed me.
Nisa Foundation: The program has been going on well and the clients are benefitting from the sessions. I want to request for a continuation of this ESL program. This will give our clients more time to further their learning.
The Mustard Seed Community Impact Centre in Shaganappi: All has been well for both programs, and the facilitator has done a great job providing lesson plans based on the need, age range, and skill level
Immigrant services Calgary: The PCMG program is going great with our clients, and they are truly enjoying it. It’s been an exhilarating experience for us to deliver PCMG in an outdoor setting for the first time, and it has been successful so far. The facilitator is going a great program, always sharing resources with clients too.
