With just over two weeks left until the well-known and much beloved Shaw Charity Classic, you still have time to support FESA's "Cover Your FESA" fundraiser through BFK's Chip in for Kids campaign. This fundraiser is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure local families are provided with support as we transition out of these difficult times.

All proceeds will go towards offering literary resources, sanitation materials, personal protective equipment, and sanitation materials in all of our learning kits so that families can safely access vital literacy supports.

In 2020 alone, we had over 1,000 children and adult learners engaged in our programming with 92% of learners seeing improvement in their literacy skills. As everyone transitions to some semblance of pre-COVID life, it is now more critical than ever to have literary supports to help families get caught up with schooling and any missed learning opportunities during the pandemic.

The Further Education Society of Alberta and Shaw invite you to Chip in for Kids by texting KIDS105 to 30333 to donate $10 and help us FESA. To make your generous contribution go further, Shaw will match your donation and the matched donation amount will then be matched again by the Shaw Charity Classic, up to an additional 50 per cent. Your $10 donation can grow into a donation of $30 to literacy and essential skills support.

Land Acknowledgement

FESA acknowledges that the land upon which we work and call home is on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney), the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 4, 5, and 6), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

We are grateful to work on the territory that situates Calgary, which is known as Mohkinstsis by the Blackfoot, Guts’ists’i by Tsuut’ina, and Wîchîspa by the Îyâxe Nakoda, as we endeavor to build a more literate and learning society allowing all to reach their potential.
